FEMALE CHILD IS GOD’S GIFT
To have a gender sensitive society where are not
discriminated against, where women are respected, honored and given equal
opportunity with their male counterparts to be all they can be,
is something that appears impossible.
The is why grooming the girl in a gender sensitive society like ours is very
important. It is important because the girl-child must be well prepared
especially from within the nuclear family circle to face the challenges of a
gender sensitive society like ours. The female child must be provided with
basic necessities of life, decent cultural and social orientation as a matter
of right and not privilege
Today’s
woman needs to be given the confidence to live so that she will eventually
become a balanced mother. Discrimination between the male and female child
needs to end. Unless our country Nigeria gives women the chance to compete, she
will fail in the community of democratic nations. The girl child must be raised
with trust, patience, empathy, so as to be responsible and self reliant.
This
