Gender sensitivity is common in Africa and the rest
of the underdeveloped parts of the world. Parents with all female children,
they will need to cope within the society they have found themselves with the
understanding of the following:
Female Children Are God’s Creatures
Female when God created humans; he created them both
male and female. God who created us created us male and female and if God has
decided to bless one with all female children then God knows best. So every
female child is God’s creature.
The Female Child Can Do Much as the Male Child:
Letting the female children know they can achieve as
much as their male counterpart in any endeavor. The world filled with stories
of women that have carved their names on the sand of time. These includes Sarah,
the wife of Abraham, Queen Esther, Mary mother of jesus, Cleopatra, Margaret
Thatcher, Margaret Ekpo, Queen Amina, etc. And in present day, we have seen the
likes of Condoliza Rice, Hillary Clinton, Christiane Amanpour, Christine
Lagarde, Prof Okonjo-iwela, Diezani Allison- Maduaike, Arunma Otech, etc. In
the academia, there are avalanche number of woman who have carved a niche for
themselves.
Without Female Children there will be no
procreation:
Procreation is made possible by the conception and
birth of children by women. If the world does not have female children
procreation will not continue because it is the female children that grow up to
become adult women who procreate.
Female Children are more Caring:
Female children always pick up the attribute of the
mother and the male children. So in all female home,the family can expect more
care.
Some Families Wish for a Child:
There are families that does not have not child.
Their prayer is to have at least a child even if she is a female child. For a family
to have more than a female child or all female children they should be happy
with what they have. Some people may feel that they have a male child they will
be better of. However, It is not always greener at the other side of the fence;
meaning, It may not be true that people who have male children are happier.
There are stories of rich men who willed their wealth to their female children
without giving anything to the male children because the male children have
gone wayward even to armed robbery. Some of them disown their male children and
swear they should not even appear at their funeral. So it could be seen that a
good female child is better that a bad male child. Female children that brought
fame to them. Families from superstar females like Serena & Venus Williams,
Regina Askia, Omotola Ekeinde Jolade, Genevieve Nnsji Dolly parton, Angelina
Jolie, Celine Dion, Beyounce Knowles, etc.
The World’s most powerful Man has all Female
children:
Barrack Obama who is the president of the united
states of America and the most powerful man on earth now has an all-female
children didn’t stop him from being a senator and subsequently the president.
Even Bill Clinton has only one female child, Chelsea Clinton.
The World’s has gone past Gender Inequality:
Finally it is important to understand that the world
has moved pass the age of gender inequality. They saying goes that what a man
can do a woman can also do it even better. The gender sensitive society are
always limited because they cannot see beyond the believe that it is a man’s
world not knowing that the world will be nothing without the woman. Coping with
all female children in a gender sensitive society is display of a higher
knowledge and understanding.
